Kiseki Takata Galleries

Kiseki Takata (or Takaga) (1871-1946) was a painter who also published some of his artwork in woodblock-printed picture books. The titles of two books are shown below. Click on a title to see the book's pictures of flowers and (or) birds. These pictures were intended to be used as models for tracing or copying by art school students. Like most Japanese artists active at that time Kiseki drew objects in a true to life way.
